The students and teachers of Nanyang Technological University CN Yang Scholars’ Club visited ELSI as a part of the ‘ELSI Public Outreach Programme’ on 20th May.

The visit featured a lecture on “How earthquakes help us understand how planets make life” by ELSI’s Christine Houser, a Specially Appointed Assistant Professor, held in Mishima Hall, introducing key ideas in origins-of-life research and related interdisciplinary fields.

The visit also offered participants an opportunity to engage with ongoing research at ELSI through a guided tour of the facilities, including laboratories.

A total of 14 participants attended the programme.
Reflecting on the experience, participants also expressed interest in the ELSI graduate programme.
