The students and teachers of Mukogawa Women’s University Senior High School visited ELSI as a part of the ‘ELSI School Outreach Programme ’ on July 30.

A lecture on “Exploring the past through modern organisms: Biological approaches supporting research on the origin of life” by ELSI’s Rei Abe, a graduate student of the Fujishima Laboratory, was held in the Mishima Hall.

Afterward, guided by Moe Yamazaki, another graduate student of the Fujishima Laboratory, the participants toured the institute’s facilities, including the laboratories, and observed the environment where ELSI researchers typically conduct their work.

A total of 61 students and teachers joined the programme.
