The students and teachers of Laurus International School of Science visited ELSI as a part of the ‘ELSI School Outreach Programme’ on 17 July. The students were given an opportunity to experience the ‘research environment’ at ELSI through a guided tour of the facilities, including labs. The tour was followed by a lecture on ‘Earth-Life Science Institute and Astrobiology’ by ELSI’s Associate Professor Kosuke Fujishima which was held in the Mishima Hall.
A total of 13 students and teachers joined the programme. ‘Learning about the missions to Saturn’s moons was exciting’ ‘I have enjoyed looking in the lab and looking at different machines’ were amongst the comments of students.
