Eito Hirai won the Outstanding Presentation Award from the Geochemical Society of Japan. This was awarded for a presentation given at the Annual Meeting of the Geochemical Society of Japan 2024 held at Kanazawa University from 18-20 September 2024. Hirai is a 3rd-year doctoral student at ELSI and is supervised by Professor Yasuhito Sekine.
 
His presentation title was ‘Chemical structure and temperature dependence of adhesive properties of organic matters in the protoplanetary disks.’

“I’m very grad to receive this award and it encourages me to work harder in towards my scientific career,” commented Hirai.
