ELSI will host The Modern Scientist: Tools, Skills and Opportunities, a science communication masterclass on Monday, 9 November 2026. Bringing together four experienced practitioners, the event will explore how social media, podcasting, citizen science, digital collaboration and artificial intelligence are changing the ways scientists work and engage with the world.

Designed for graduate students, earlier career and science communication practitioners across scientific disciplines, the masterclass will offer practical insights, real-world examples and opportunities for discussion. Participants will explore tools and approaches that can support their research, expand professional networks and open new possibilities for scientific collaboration and participation.
