Registration and abstract submission are now open for the 15th ELSI International Symposium, hosted by the Earth-Life Science Institute (ELSI), Institute of Science Tokyo.

The symposium will bring together researchers from diverse disciplines to exchange ideas, share recent discoveries, and explore new perspectives on the fundamental questions surrounding life and our planet.

Under the theme “Redefining the Limits of Detection: Tracing Life from the Deep Past to Planetary Frontiers,” the symposium will take place on 6–8 January 2027 at the Institute of Science Tokyo, Japan. Discussions will explore how scientists identify evidence of life, from traces preserved in ancient rocks and extreme environments on Earth to potential signs of life on other planetary bodies and exoplanets.

Researchers are invited to register and submit abstracts for poster presentations. Participation is free of charge, and the deadline for registration and abstract submission is 30 November 2026.
