On November 5 (Sun.), we invite you to take part in our upcoming online event, the 9th Public Lecture series “Quest for Origins”, jointly hosted by Tokyo Institute of Technology’s Earth-Life Science Institute (WPI-ELSI), The University of Tokyo’s Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (WPI-Kavli IPMU) and The University of Tokyo’s International Research Center for Neurointelligence (WPI-IRCN).
The Universe, Earth, Life and Human Intelligence. How did it all begin? Throughout history, humans have always asked this question. In this event, researchers will talk about how far science has come to uncover the origin of The Universe, Earth, Life and Human Intelligence. They will also discuss what it means to study the origin of something, moderated by a philosopher to discuss and think about what it means to look for an origin.

Method: Hybrid (on-site and online)
Venue: Tokyo Institute of Technology 70th Anniversary Auditorium
(3 minutes walk from Ookayama Station on Tokyu Oimachi and Meguro Lines)
Target: High school students and above
Admission: Free
Capacity: 600 people (first-come-first-served basis) for on-site participation,
No limit for online participation in principle.
