Taren Ginter

 

Taren Ginter won the Student Presentation Award and IUPUB Nara Memorial Student Presentation Award at the 63rd Annual Meeting of the Biophysical Society of Japan held at Nara from 24-26 September 2025. Ginter is a 1st year doctoral student at ELSI (Earth-Life Science Course) and supervised by Associate Professor Kosuke Fujishima.

 

The 2025 Student Presentation Award involved a preliminary written review and a secondary review consisting of oral presentations at 10 venues. Her presentation title was ‘Molecular Simulation of Prebiotically Plausible Interactions Between Amino Acids and Fatty Acid Membranes*.’  IUPUB Nara Memorial Student Presentation Award was presented to the best presenter at each venue.

 

‘I’m so grateful to have received these awards, and I’m excited to continue working on this research as I progress to my Doctoral Studies!’ commented Ginter.
