The graduate students and your researchers who participated the Hope Meeting visited ELSI on 13 March 2025.

The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) has been organising HOPE Meetings since 2008. These meetings give participants selected from countries/areas in the region the opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary discussions with Nobel laureates and other distinguished scientists. As part of the programme, 34 participants visited ELSI.

Visitors were given an opportunity to listen to a lecture on ELSI research by ELSI’s Associate Professor Kosuke Fujishima in the Mishima Hall. This was followed by

A lab introduction by ELSI’s researcher (JSPS PD) Natsumi Noda and Shota Nishikawa, also ELSI researcher, and a guided tour by ELSI’s Communication Director Thilina Heenatigala.
