Shohei Ito

 
Shohei Ito won the Judges’ Award at the DROPLET2026 held from 4 to 5 June 2026 for his poster presentation. Ito is a 3rd-year doctoral student at ELSI and co-supervised by Associate Professor Kosuke Fujishima and Specially Appointed Associate Professor Naohiro Terasaka.
 
The selection of the Judges’ Award was made by On-Chip Biotechnologies, the organiser of this event. His poster presentation title was ‘Detection of Acetyl-CoA Carboxylase Activity Using a Reconfigurable Cell-Free Protein Synthesis System and Microdroplets.’
 
‘I have been conducting my research with the goal of winning a conference award while pursuing my doctoral degree. I am happy to have received this award. I will continue my research as I work toward earning my Ph.D.,’ commented Ito.
