The conference will bring together leading researchers from around the world to explore four interconnected themes: Formation, Evolution, Habitability, and Missions. With NASA’s Europa Clipper and ESA’s JUICE missions currently en route to Jupiter, the meeting will provide an opportunity to connect theoretical models, laboratory experiments, and observations with the scientific objectives of these missions.

The conference will feature internationally recognised experts and encourage interdisciplinary discussions and new collaborations in planetary science and astrobiology. Travel support is expected to be available, particularly for students and early-career researchers. The conference is chaired by Yasuhito Sekine (ELSI), Olivier Mousis (SwRI), and Olivier Witasse (ESA).

Date: 23–25 March 2027
Venue: Earth-Life Science Institute (ELSI), Institute of Science Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan

Registration and abstract submission: https://sites.google.com/elsi.jp/galilean-moons-origin-habit-ii (abstract submission deadline: 15 December 2026)

[6
