Research Interests

The secular change in seawater composition through 4.0 Gyr Earth’s history is very important to understand Evolution of Earth’s surface environment and life. Paleo-seawater is trapped as fluid inclusions in hydrothermal minerals precipitated during seafloor hydrothermal alteration. Based on chemical analysis using these inclusions, our research is going to reveal the secular change of seawater composition and to propose important constraints on the evolution of the Earth’s surface environment and of life.
