Research Interests

My research question is how conscious experiences emerge from physical interactions in the brain. I have been studying the neural mechanisms underlying consciousness using neuroimaging and magnetic and electric brain stimulation in humans. Now, I’m searching for the computational principles underlying consciousness with the aim of implanting artificial consciousness into artificial intelligence systems.
